Ok something exciting happened today. A large plume originated from the surface of Mars and it has scientists and sky watchers completely baffled. So apparently the plume developed in less than 10 hours and remained visible for 10 days. I find this upsetting that the spacecraft orbiting the planet did not get to capture pictures of the features. Scientists are now working on trying to figure out what caused the plume to appear. Please find out! If it was not some kind of asteroid impact then maybe it was spontaneous generation of the atmosphere around Mars. In any case, these plumes are a mystery that have plagued scientists since the first spotted plume, similar to this one, seen on Mars before.
