The Space Travel Conflict: Space Radiation: Cosmic and Solar

 Bibliography
-->
Satterfield, Dan. How much Radiation does it take to kill you? 1st September 2009. 17th October 2012 .

This source is about how much radiation is in space and on the Earth. It also talks about how much it takes to kill a human. With this site I used the information to realistically look at how an astronaut’s suit would do against the radiation in outer space.

-->

I believe this source is credible because it has cites and gives credits to all of the people the information came from. I believe I would use it in a paper because it has a lot of information on radiation. I found everything I was looking for and more than I thought I would need.

The Space Travel conflict: Once we get there, how will we get back?

Bibliography

Staff, Digital Trends. Digital Trends: Upgrade your lifestyle. 8th June 2012. Blog. 19th October 2012.

http://www.digitaltrends.com/cool-tech/dt-debates-should-humans-go-to-mars/

This site has questions about colonizing Mars and scientists answering them, telling about the fast approaching mission to colonize Mars in the year 2033. It also has some ideas as to how and why we are going to do it.

This source seems to be credible but there is no evidence of any citations. One lady did give credit to Steven Hawking after she used one of his quotes. That is why I believe this site to be credible. There is not much information about colonizing Mars so that is why I can’t give full credibility to this site. I also would not use this site in a paper because of the lack of credibility and because it still is not much information on this topic.

The Space Travel Conflict: Can we actually live on Mars?

Bibliography

Works Cited

Coffey, Jerry. Mars Magnetic Field. 10th June 2008. 22nd October 2012.

Wikipedia. The Climate of Mars. 19th October 2012. 22nd October 2012.

http://www.futurepundit.com/archives/000968.html
This link breaks down what would happen to humans in an area of lower gravity than we are used to. It explains what happens to our bones, muscles, and veins and it also talks about creating buildings that simulate the Earth's gravity. This site also has extra information that I didn't have any use for that you can look at.

http://www.universetoday.com/14949/mars-magnetic-field/
This link talks about how Mars had a magnetic field millions of years ago. Then it explains how the remnants of the magnetic field don't protect the planet at all.

http://www.spacecentre.no/English/The_Universe/Mars/Can_we_live_on_Mars+/
This source explains how it is hard to adapt and live on Mars. It talks about the climate and temperature, then explains that Mars is poorly suited for human habitability.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate_of_Mars
This site gives more information on the climate of Mars and gives information on the Atmosphere makeup as well.

I would use all of the sources in an actual research paper because each site has given credibility to each source they have used. In addition, each reference I have used as a source of information, has its own references as well. That seems to me to be very credible, which is why I would use them in a research paper.

The Space Travel Conflict: How to Terra-form Mars

Bibliography:

Bonsor, Kevin. How Stuff Works. 8th March 2012. Blog. 1st November 2012.

http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/how-plants-acquire-their-energy.html

This link has information about possible ways to Terra-form Mars and if we will be successful in doing so. It also explains why we chose Mars as our next home. Read the link for more information

I would use this link in a paper for school because it seems pretty resourceful. It gives me a lot of information and I could use this reading to aid me in filling in my paper. Also at the end of the blog are some links where the Author of this blog has gave credit to someone else's people.

The Space Travel Conflict: The Costs for deep space travel

Bibliography
Kauderer, Amiko. Science experiments and. 15th October 2012. Article. 15th October 2012.
This source is about the cargo that goes onto the space shuttle. The numbers that are in this article are about a standard mission of about 14 days which helped me come up with the numbers and expenses of a trip of a larger scale.
This source is Very credible because it comes from the NASA organization itself. There are thousands of scientists working on proving and providing the correct information for us to know what is going on with outer space and how we will get here. NASA is our national space program, I would use this in a paper because it is very credible and also has a lot of information about space. Just about any question I would have on a paper about space is indeed on this site.

Unknown. Mars Science Laboratory. 26th November 2011. Blog. 15th October 2012.
This source is about the rovers, the distance to Mars, the distances from Earth to Mars, and much more. Check out this link if you want to learn more about it.

This source is credible and at the same time, not so credible only because it is Wikipedia. People can get on Wikipedia and add what they want and it could very well be false or not credited to the right person. When I see the references section I see 130 references and most of them are from NASA. That is why I think it is credible to some extent. I would not use this source in a paper because I can't rely on this source 100% for a structured paper.
